Our Programs
NEHI implements integrated, rights-based programs designed to improve the health, well-being,
protection, and socio-economic outcomes of girls and young women, particularly those from
underserved and vulnerable communities.
- Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH): Education, awareness, and access to information that promote dignity, confidence, and school participation.
- Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) / Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE): Age-appropriate, rights-based education to support informed decision-making.
- Gender-Based Violence (GBV/VAWG) Prevention: Community awareness, advocacy, and prevention-focused interventions addressing violence against women and girls.
- Girls’ Education and Health Promotion: Supporting access to education, health information, and life skills for improved outcomes.
- Mental Health and Psychosocial Support: Promoting emotional well-being, resilience, and mental health awareness.
- Digital Literacy and Life Skills: Building digital competencies and essential life skills to prepare girls for modern opportunities.
- Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment: Supporting self-reliance through skills development and entrepreneurship education.
- HIV and AIDS Prevention: Awareness and education programs that promote prevention and healthy behaviors.
- Drug Abuse Prevention: Sensitization and prevention initiatives addressing substance abuse risks.
- Breast Cancer Awareness: Community education on early detection and health-seeking behavior.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Promoting inclusive approaches that ensure no girl is left behind.
All programs are implemented using participatory, culturally responsive, and community-driven
approaches, aligned with national priorities and international development standards.
